THIS SECTION IS DEVOTED TO OUR RECENT STITCHED SHOP MODELS

We add approximately 4 to 6 new models every other month to our ever growing collection. These are the current New Shop Models that we have added in our shop.  We do not always stitch designs which are new, just whatever strikes our fancy.  Because a pattern is old doesn't make it any less attractive.  If the pattern is still available, after stitching, we then feature it as a New Shop Model on our walls.

If you like the way our shop models look, we now have added a feature that you can purchase the pattern or kit packaged by the manufacturer. You are ONLY purchasing the materials to make the design, not our finished model. These models are in this section for approx. 6 months than move to our Shop Model Tab listed under Book & Charts so you can still continued to view until the patterns or kits are not longer available.

Hope you like our selections!

SHOP MODEL-I LOVE MY COUNTRY
As you might be aware by looking at our shop models, I love the Zipper kits. Everything is included except a needle, and they are a great grab and go project. I was looking for some small designs with a Patriotic theme, and found this kit - I framed in a premade 5x5 dark blue frame. Nothing too hard - the fabric is 18 Ct. Linen over two using pearl cotton

SHOP MODEL-LAND OF LIBERTY
Again I have a few favorite designers and Country Cottage Needlework is one of those - this design is not new, but I had it in my stash and wanted to stitch to add to our Patriotic model collection. I used what the designer recommended and rather than frame in a white frame as the designer did, I chose a custom red

SHOP MODEL-FREEDOM HOUSE
Little House Needlework designed this pattern, and I fell in love with the premade frame 6x6 Star Mill Hill frame - so I stitched this design on 32 Ct. Linen, eliminated the border - hense it fit. Isn't it cute - again nothing hard, loved the colors

SHOP MODEL-JUNE
Since I started stitching this series of designs from The Cricket Collection - having started with May, I could not resist doing June with the flowers and cake. But again, I did not like the fabric the designer used - so I chose 28 Ct. Watercress Jobelan, and used all the recommended flosses and buttons. I custom framed in a whitewash frame so the frame would not take from the design by being too white

I'm not sure if I will stitch all the designs in this series, but I do know by looking at a few, I will be changing some of the background and lettering colors just to make stand out a little more - just likeI did with July

SHOP MODEL-GARDEN SHEEP KIT
I just love the little sheep by Shepherd's Bush and found this cute design when I was sorting kits. Just had to stitch, and since I had the Jill Rensel mat - I know it had my name on it. I custom framed to look like the model on the package. Again nothing too hard and the kit includes everything except the frame and mat

SHOP MODEL-SUMMERFRUIT KIT
If you read my monthly newsletters, I mentioned that I had a customer who passed by the name of Ellen Baglivi. Well her husband called, and said that he felt Ellen would like me to have a few of her finished pieces. When he gave them to me, I had no idea what to expect. This is kit from Lanate and designed by Marjolein Bastin. Ellen loved detailed designs - kits or patterns, it made no difference. I framed in a custom two tone brown frame. Ellen's name will live on in our shop and in our hearts, and I cannot thank her husband enough for this and other lovely finished pieces he gave me. I will be posting others in the coming months.

SHOP MODEL-DOG'S DAY OUT
This is another finished piece by Ellen Baglivi, our customer who passed, and was given to me by her husband. It has been a big hit - take notice to all the different breeds of dogs and birds - very detailed - she stitched it on the recommended Crossed Wing hand-dyed fabric using DMC floss. I custom framed in a wide black frame to bring out all the colors in this design. This is a treasure that will keep Ellen's memory alive in our shop

SHOP MODEL-MAY
When I came across this design, I just loved the colors and thought I needed to add this model to our shop. I used DMC floss and a few Thread Gatherer flosses, but stitched on 28 Ct. Jobelan White rather than what the designer recommende - the frame is a custom olive green that matched the lettering. I loved the finished results

SHOP MODEL-SWEETEST HOME
Again I was looking for some designs for summer and just loved these beehives and flowers - I did stitch as charted on the 28 Ct. Patina Linen and custom framed in a white frame

SHOP MODEL-SPRING HILL
This design from By The Bay Needleart is not new, but was something that was in my stash for awhile - loved the colors and decided to take the time to stitch. I did used the recommended fabric and flosses, and framed in a custom cherry frame

SHOP MODEL-A TISKET, A TASKET
Shepherd's Bush is a favorite of mine, and I had this kit for some time as well as the Jill Rensel mat, so I decided now was the time to stitch it up - I custom framed in a cherry frame to bring out the pink flowers

SHOP MODEL-FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS
I fell in love with the flower pot and birds nest, so I decided to stitch this design to add to our flower collection - when I read the verse, I also feel that it would make a nice design for a graduate as well - this design was stitched on 28 Ct. Ivory Jobelan using DMC floss - I custom framed with double mats

SHOP MODEL-SHAMROCK BUNNY
Sometimes when we get in patterns for pin cushions, I decide to frame them instead. Homespun Elegance had a series of Delivering designs featuring animals pulling carts, and now they have another series of animals with carts, but made into pin cushions - so I thought, why not frame and that is exactly what I did. I followed the directions, only using the carrot charm that is included with the pattern and framed in a pre-made little green frame - isn't it cute - a nice design for St. Patrick's and Easter combined

SHOP MODEL-JOYFUL JOURNAL: JULY
This Joyful Journal design from Heart in Hand was stitched on Ice Blue Cashel Linen - I had decided that I was going to stitch each design in this series on a colored fabric rather then the recommended fabric - hope you like my choices. The frame is a premade 5" x 5" premade

SHOP MODEL-JOYFUL JOURNAL: JUNE
This another in the Joyful Journal series from Heart in Hand - I stitched on African Daisy Jobelan as I wanted a Summer look and I think this worked - I custom framed in a brown frame to bring out the beehive

SHOP MODEL-JOYFUL JOURNAL: APRIL
For April I would have thought of bunnies and baskets, but Heart in Hand gave us a cute little bird and birdhouses - I stitched this design on 28 Ct. Lambswool Linen as I wanted it to look more Spring like. I framed in a 5" x 5" blue frame

SHOP MODEL-DELIVERING YUMMY TREATS
I just love the Delivering series from Homespun Elegance and I found this design would fit our Easter and even Summer display. This design was stitched on 28 Ct. Lambswool rather than the designer's pick using the recommended flosses and custom framed in a brown frame .

Watch for more of these designs as I am now going to stitch some of the scissor fobs designs by Homespun Elegance that feature a cart and frame rather than make into a fob.

SHOP MODEL-EASTER PARADE
I just love the designs from Country Stitches especially some relating to Easter as they can also be uleft out all Summer - I bell in love with this design and it matched one I did last year called Peter and Peep. Since I am not a fan of 40 Ct. Linen, I stitched this design on 32 Ct. Buttercream Linen from Lakeside Linens using the recommended floss - but I changed one color in the tulip to Merlot by Weeks as I was not going to coffee dye hand-dyed floss as the designer requested. I think it turned out well and has been a hit in our shop. It was custom framed in a rustic looking grey/brown frame that matched the bunny

SHOP MODEL-EASTER PEEP
I had this design in my stash since it was released by Country Stitches. I was not keen on stitching the chick in light brown, so it was passed over time and again. This year I looked at the design again, and did use the recommended DMC flosss, however I stitched the model on 28 Ct. African Daisy Jobelan and the chick does look yellow to me. I loved the tulips as well. I custom framed in a lime green frame to bring out the color of the grass and stems. - isn't he cute!

SHOP MODEL-EGG OF EGGS ZIPPER
After the cold winter, and the impending arrival of Easter, I looked for somthing to stitch that was fun and easy. I chose this design from Bent Creek because I love their Zipper series - includes everything and was stitched on 18 Ct. Linen. This design has been a big hit in our shop - very easy to stitch

SHOP MODEL-WINTER COVE
After I finished my Valentine Stitching, and we were still experiencing the freezing cold weather, I looked for more designs with a winter theme to stitch. I always loved this design from By The Bay Needlearts. I stitched it on 28 Ct. Pewter Jobelan to give it a cold winter feel using the recommended floss, and framed in a custom black frame

SHOP MODEL-FROSTY FOREST
If you look at our shop model section frequently, you would have noticed the Santa's Village design that I stitched on the 32 Ct. Raw/White Dot fabric. Since I am not fond of stitching little things, (they get done too soon and I feel like a machine pumping then out) I decided to combine some of the designs in the Frosty Forest series by Country Cottage for a nice Winter Row scene. I wanted a house facing me in the center, than I put a house facing the center on each side that had a snowman, and finally I picked the two deer designs for each end. I sitched this design on 32 Ct. Pearl Grey Linen using the recommended floss. I added a row between the last two pieces on each side so there would not be such a steep drop between the pieces to make them line up a little better. I loved the end result - didn't it turn out nice. I custom framed in a brown frame

The pieces I used were CCNFF01 Raccoon Cabin, 02 Snowy Deer, 03 Snowman's Cottage, 07 Snowgirl's Cottage, and 08 Snowy Reindeer.

SHOP MODEL-CLOVER OF CLOVER ZIPPER
With St. Patty's fast approaching I decided to stitch this kit from Bent Creek as my car project. Needless to say, with all the cold weather, I have not been taking trips - so I completed this at home. Nothing hard, fun, and I custom framed in a green frame

SHOP MODEL-JOYFUL JOURNEY: MARCH
Such a fun series of designs from Heart in Hand that I decided I was going to use different colors of fabric to reflect the holiday - I chose 28 Ct. Mint Jobelan for this design for March and framed in a pre-made green frame

SHOP MODEL-JOYFUL JOURNEY: FEBRUARY
Another in the Joyful Journey series from Heart in Hand - I chose 28 Ct. Raspberry Jobelan to give this design more of an appearance for Valentine's then framed in a pre-made red frame

SHOP MODEL-RED + WHITE
When I started off the year, I decided that we needed more small shop models. Of course with Valentine's appoaching I decided that this design from Bent Creek fit the bill - however, I did not like the purple toned floss that was listed, so I used Merlot from Weeks Dye Works to give it a more Valentine's appearance - I framed in a premade red with gold trim frame

SHOP MODEL-BLUE + WHITE
Bent Creek introducted this series of designs a few years ago, and they are really fun and fast to stitch - this little offering uses two colors of floss, and I choose a pre-made 4x4 light blue frame

SHOP MODEL-JOYFUL JOURNEY: JANUARY
When Heart in Hand released this series of patterns, I decided that we need more little shop models, and these designs worked just fine. I also decided that I was going to use a different color fabric for each - so I used Pewter Grey Lugana for this month's offering and framed in a 5x5 premade frame

SHOP MODEL-SEASON OF LOVE ORNAMENT #11
At Christmas when I was shopping for gifts, I noticed that Target had a wonder array of pre-made frames, but only available in select sizes. This frame is one that I picked-up and fit this design to a tee - I changed the fabric to 28 Ct. Tropic Pink Linen and love the look in this frame as well as the matching snowmen. Again, this was a fast to stitch design and gave me a model for Winter as well as Valentine's due to the theme

SHOP MODEL-SANTA'S VILLAGE
I had decided when Country Cottage Needlework first released these designs in their Santa's Village series that I would combine 4 for a row as I love doing rows. So when I was picking what I thought looked good togther, I noticed on the Country Cottage Facebook page that someone used the Natural with White Dot Belfast for some of these designs. My finished model features the Christmas Tree Farm, and Reindeer Stables in in the center, and then Poinsettia Place on one side, and the Candy Cane Cottage for the other side. I think these patterns have a more Winter look, yet still good for Christmas decorating. I chose not to add the buttons, and just love the finished design on the dotted linen as reminds me of falling snow. I used a Christmas Red custom frame which really makes the holiday colors pop.

See what you can do by thinking out of the box - I'm working on another set, this time 5 designs, making up a row that I will be posting sometime in the future

SHOP MODEL-CAROLS ON THE SQUARE
Praiseworthy Stitches has some wonderful scene designs and when pattern was released last January, I knew I was going to stitch it this past Christmas season. I did not change a thing other than beading the wreaths on the houses with the tiny recommended green beads, and I added a brighter green ini bead for the garlands - I customized in a Cherry frame with a gold lip

SHOP MODEL-NORTH POLE GLOBE ZIPPER KIT
As I stated before, I love the Bent Creek Zippers. They fun to stitch on the 18 Ct. Linen, great for take-a-longs as the floss is pre-separated, and the only thing you need to add is a needle. I had decided to stitch this snowglobe because of the little elves. Aren't they so cute - I framed in a deep red frame to bring out the colors

SHOP MODEL-CHRISTMAS TREE OF ORNAMENTS ZIPPER KIT
Last year when Bent Creek came out with new Zipper series, everyone loved the topics. I think I stitched most of them. I fell in love with this tree shape and it was my take-a-long project through the holidays. I framed in a green frame to bring out the colors - Isn't it cute!

SHOP MODEL-CINNAMON STARS
To finish my Autumn stitching this year I chose a design from Plum Street Samplings that featured a lovely house with a patch of pumpkins, a scarecrow, and sunflowers. I figured for those of you who do not like Halloween stitching, this is a nice project that you could keep up through the fall and even all year through. Notice that I added my initial instead of the designers. The recommended hand-dyed floss was used. However I stitched this design on Sandstone linen rather than what was recommended to give this piece a more autumn appearance. A wooden frame that matched the colors in the design was used

SHOP MODEL-UBER TURKEY
This cute design from Bent Creek was right on the mark for a Thanksgiving model. I had it aside and decided now was the time. I used the recommended floss, stitched on 18 Ct. Light Mocha Cashel Linen, and custom framed. He now sits proudly in our Thanksgiving section, and might even make it into our front window when we decorate for Thanksgiving.

SHOP MODEL-FIVE O'CLOCK SOMEWHERE
When I was waiting for the darker Sand, Sea and Sky fabric, I had itchy hands and picked this oldie, but goodie to stitch. I just thought it was cute and again fast to stitch. I had a piece of 30 Ct. Glen Ellen Blend in my stash which is what I used. Sometimes it is fun stitching something out of the ordinary - the button pack includes all beads and the olive on the tooth pick

SHOP MODEL-HERE COMES MILK FOR US
This is another one of those designs from Diane Graebner that I liked, put in my stash, and kept ignoring. Well when I decided we needed new Amish wall models, I chose this one which I stitched on a pale pink 18 Ct. Aida - it is coded for 18 Ct. White Aida, and I used DMC floss

SHOP MODEL-FRESH WATER
As you can see, when I decide we need new Amish models from Diane Graebner, I didn't stop at one. I actually stitched 5 or 6 new models this past spring, and have a few more that I would like to do before the end of this year. I chose this one because the Girl had on a pink/red dress and never stitched an Amish girl in these colors - isn't it cute - I stitched on 18 Ct. White Aida using DMC floss

SHOP MODEL-MUD PIE MAKIN
When this Amish design from Diane Graebner arrived in our shop, I thought it was cute and a great addition to our model collection - so this is one of the last that I stitched this past spring. SHOP MODEL-GOSSIP AT THE MARKET
I know may stitchers work on two or designs at one time. I usually only work on one - start to finish. When I started this design from Diane Graebner last year, I got tired of the black. I think it was because I was doing some Halloween designs, and then stitching the buggies, just did not interest me. Well, since I'm in my Amish mode, I picked this back up and as you can see, it is finally finished and am ready for Autumn wall hanging. I always stitch the black using three strands of floss so that no fabric will show through the stitched. This was a little tuff because of all the black, but as you can see, it really worked out well. I stitched this model on 18 Ct. Fiddlers Cloth.

Just a Note - The Amish designs are usually the only models that I stitch on aida. I prefer linen or evenweave, but these designs look best on aida and I really enjoy the change.
