THIS SECTION IS DEVOTED TO OUR RECENT STITCHED SHOP MODELS
We add approximately 4 to 6 new models every other month to our ever growing collection. These are the current New Shop Models that we have added in our shop. We do not always stitch designs which are new, just whatever strikes our fancy. Because a pattern is old doesn't make it any less attractive. If the pattern is still available, after stitching, we then feature it as a New Shop Model on our walls.
If you like the way our shop models look, we now have added a feature that you can purchase the pattern or kit packaged by the manufacturer. You are ONLY purchasing the materials to make the design, not our finished model. These models are in this section for approx. 6 months than move to our Shop Model Tab listed under Book & Charts so you can still continued to view until the patterns or kits are not longer available.
Hope you like our selections!

SHOP MODEL - 4 SEASONS SPRING KIT |
|
I stitched this kit in May, and when I went to order the frame, noticed that the blue sky was two tone. Apparently the DMC floss in the kit was two dye lots - So as anial that I am, I ripped out the sky and will be posting once I re-stitch using a fresh skein of the floss. The kit company did not give the DMC numbers, but due to my issue, Vervaco was very gracious in giving me the number, and even offered to replace the floss. Since I had such a large amount of floss left over, I just purchased a new skein rather than having then send a replacement. I will be posting in the coming weeks when I finish my current item. I just loved this series of kits and will be stitching another in the future.

SHOP MODEL - CHRISTMAS |
|
As many of you know I stitch a lot of Madam Chantilly patterns. This is one that I loved for Christmas - and I just spiced it up a little. I stitched the model on Belfast 32 Ct. Raw/Gold linen using DMC floss. Then I added blending figment colors BF100, BF032, BF091, BF022, BF015, and BF061 to some of the motifs . I used two ply of floss throughout, and added one play of the metallic so it would give it a little spice, but not overpowering. I added metallic floss to the lights the kitty is playing with, lights on the roof of the house, lights on the tree, bells on the Elf hat, saddle on the reindeer, Santa's fur, ribbons on the presents, and the ornaments hanging front the top. Hope you like my choices - our shop customers do.

SHOP MODEL- SHORELINE SCENE KIT |
|
This kit was in my stack since te 2000's and I kept putting it off - so this summer Idecided not was the time to stitch. Since it was so old, my pattern was actually a hand charted design, meaning the symbols were hand drawn by Thea Gouverneur. Luckly this kit is now computer charted and much easier to follow. I just love the end result - reminescent of a day at the beach with the dunes. It was stitched with one stand of floss on 30 Ct. Linen. Nothing hard, very little back stitchig. The frame is a custom barnwood grey.
