140x271 - This Old Scottish sampler was reproduced by Hands Across The Sea Samplers from the mid 1700's - features two reversed floral bands and two elaborate upper-case alphabets are surrounded by back stitched curls, five sets of initials are recorded on this sampler; at the bottom is a scene with a three story building filled with an array of windows, three pointed gables, and a man is standing in the doorway; and a stylized thistle border surrounds - includes extensive historical information as well as stitch guild and diagrams - coded for Soie d'Alger or DMC
