 413x414 - This reproduction sampler by Hands Across The Sea Samplers was worked while Harriet Sait was in the Muller Orphanage where she resided with her three sisters after their mother and father passed within a year of each other - this sampler was used as an example of her needlework skills featuring rows of alphabet letters and pattern bands so she could find employment as a domestic servant when leaving the orphanage - done in one color of Soie d'Alger or DMC
