Recently one of my customers told me that I forgot to post this shop model which I stitched in July, 2025. I had posted it on facebook, but forgot to add to our shop model section.
This pattern is from Hands On Design, and was to be a finished as a drum. Since I love pattrns that can be stitched in a row as they look great over doorways. I had seen this stitched on another shops blog using the fabric the recommended fabric, and finished as a row. I loved the eagle, and thought it would be a great addition to our models. So I started on the stated fabric, Praire Grain Linen which is a moss color, and it just did not work for me. I actually finished the verse before I knew I just did not like the look. When I think of patriotic, I always think of red, white, and blue. The Moss just did not work for me. So in the stash I went and found this piece of Caribbean Blue 28 Ct. Jobelan and loved the result. Since this is a discontinued fabric any blue will also work. I used the recommended floss and double matted with a red and blue mat, and cherry frame. Hope you like the finished piece - our customer's do. I have attached a small pic of the originlal so you can see the difference.
