 The Wishing Thorn presents these two samplers that were stitched by two sisters - Roshannah's sampler 143x173 was stitched when she was 12 years of age and includes the verse: “I give immortal praise To God the father’s love, For all my comforts here And better hopes above He sent his only son, To die for sins that we have done”; while Elizabeth sampler 137x173 was stitched when she was 9 years of age and features the verse: “The lilies of the Field That quickly fade away, May well to us a lesson Yield Who die as soon as they” - coded for DMC
