347x358 - this delightful whimsical sampler from Hands Across The Sea Samplers features the verse: "Jesus permit thy gracious name to stand As the first effort of a females hand, And has her fingers on the canvass move. Engage her tender heart to seek thy love With thy dear children may she have a part, And write thy Name thyself upon her heart" at the top; below is a scene depicting Adam and Eve with an apple in a serpent's mount, on either side of the tree are bright red roses; at the bottom is a scene with a large red brick mansion surrounded by cedar trees and a patchwork pasture filled with animals; and a three sided floral border surrounds - coded for Soie d'Alger or DMC
