National Society Daughters of the American Revolution DAR Library Glass Ceiling Memorial Continental Hall, Washington, DC The magnificent glass ceiling of the DAR Library is the most emblematic interior architectural feature of the DAR National Headquarters buildings. The ceiling is composed of 25 decorative leaded glass frames called the lay lights, as they are separate pieces that lay in tracks in the 60' by 60' domed ceiling. Each of the 25 lay light panels measure 9' 1" by 8' 4". This cross stitch design is a representation of one of the lay light panels.
