 253x165 - Another offering from The Blue Flower this time inspired by the poem "When Lilacs Last in the Dooryard Bloom's by Walt Whiteman which addressed the pity of war through imagery vaguely referencing the American Civil War finding joy even in the time of sorrow - features a farm house scene on a hill with a bird alongside holding a sprig of lilac flowers with his beak, a tall pine tree is alongside, walking toward the house is a woman on the other side holding a lilac flower under a blooming tree, and above is the verse " When lilacs last in the dooryard bloom'd and the great star early droop'd in the western sky, Lilac and star and bird twined with the chart of my soul there in the fragrant pines"; and floral motif border accented with greens surrounds -
