THIS SECTION IS DEVOTED TO OUR RECENT STITCHED SHOP MODELS

We add approximately 4 to 6 new models every other month to our ever growing collection. These are the current New Shop Models that we have added in our shop.  We do not always stitch designs which are new, just whatever strikes our fancy.  Because a pattern is old doesn't make it any less attractive.  If the pattern is still available, after stitching, we then feature it as a New Shop Model on our walls.

If you like the way our shop models look, we now have added a feature that you can purchase the pattern or kit packaged by the manufacturer. You are ONLY purchasing the materials to make the design, not our finished model. These models are in this section for approx. 6 months than move to our Shop Model Tab listed under Book & Charts so you can still continued to view until the patterns or kits are not longer available.

Hope you like our selections!

SHOP MODEL - DEAR RUDOLPH
When I pick models to stitch, I like to do something hard, then something easy. I found this cute offering from Madam Chantilly that I loved. However, I usually don't tweek a design, but there was too much white for my liking, yet I loved the design - so I added a little Kreinik and changed some of the ball colors, and added gold stars to the trees. Also I stitched on 32 Ct. Opa/Raw Belfast Linen, and framed in a brushed edge green frame. Hope you all like the finished piece as much as I do.

SHOP MODEL - CHRISTMAS DREAMS SAMPLER
For the last few years I have stitched a a sampler from The Victoria Sampler - so I decided to break up the trend and look for something different. I would this offering from The Drawn Thread and loved the verse as well as the snow coverd house scene at the top and the animals with a snowman in the center. I did use the recommended silk floss, and framed in a cherry frame.

If you stitch designs from The Drawn Thread and feel the silk to expensive, you might not know that she uses the same color palette, and the silk seems to go a long way. Sometimes it is worth the price - also they give hand-dyed floss alternates for all silks on their web site.

SHOP MODEL - YULE
Every year I put this pattern aside and stitch something else. So I decided this was the year to finally add to our models. This design is from Bent Creek and is an oldie but goodie. Again, nothing hard, uses hand-dyed floss, but I believe they give DMC alternates, and I stitched on 32 Ct. Opal/Raw Belfast Linen. I again used a brushed edge green frame. I just loved the end result, and should have stitched sooner.

SHOP MODEL - ROUND ROBIN
Sometimes when I decide what to stitch for shop models, I try to pick something different. I throught that we needed new bird models and found this one by Heritage Crafts was just the thing. I stitched the model on 28 Ct. White Jobelan using DMC floss, and the frame is a premade by Mill Hill. Isn't it cute!

SHOP MODEL - FAMILY TREE BUTTON & BEAD KIT

This kit has been in my stash for at least a year, and since I have been stitching many Button & Bead Kits this year, I felt now was the time to do it. Nothing was hard, and I found a pre-made Mill Hill frame with trees accenting that fit the bill. I might stitch another Button & Bead kit before Christmas - if I do, you'll see it soon.

SHOP MODEL - FULL OF BLESSINGS
Since I had this design on my home page in November, I loved the saying and felt it would be a nice addition for everyone's dining room - I stitched the model on 28 Ct. Ivory Jobelan using DMC floss, and framed in a brown custom

SHOP MODEL - AUTUMN WELCOME
Since I like the Welcome series by The Drawn Thread, I just had to stitch their Welcome Autumn. I loved the colors on the 30 Ct. Antique Lambswool Linen and did use the recommended silk floss, however I used 2 ply of all floss colors for cross stitches, rather than the one ply that the designer recommended. The frame is a brown with gold edges and matches the brown that was used in the design. Again nothing hard and took no time to stitch.

SHOP MODEL-READY FOR HARVEST
Since I was playing around with a new inventory package, it has been hard for me to stitch on a regular basis - since that episode of my life is over, I am now back to stitching up a storm. This is the NEWEST release from Diane Graebner with lovely sunflowers and crows for Autumn. I stitched this on 16 Ct. White Aida, rather than the recommended 18 Ct. to make it a little bigger using DMC floss - a custom brown frame was used to bring out the center of the flowers.

SHOP MODEL-OLD TOWN HARVEST BUTTON & BEAD KIT

In case anyone is wondering, I have been stitching - and this time of year I like to stitch designs relating to the season. When this Button & Bead Kit arrived last year, I just loved the scene - so when I decided to look for patterns for new shop models, this came to mind. Everything is included in the kit - and as always, I had a Tacky Bob for my beads. Nothing hard - I had plenty of beads and floss, stitched on perforated paper, and framed in a Mill Hill pre-made frame that had painted pumpkins on the frame. Didn't turn out great!

SHOP MODEL-WELCOME - HALLOWEEN
Since I have been stitching Welcomes from The Drawn Thread, it was only right that I add their Halloween Welcome to our shop models. Nothing hard, I did use TWO THREAD, rather than the one stand recommended by the designer. I was a little disappointed with the Welcome Spring being light, so I decided that I was going to use two stands of floss when stitching these designs from now on. I loved how the colors showed up and I used a black wavy custom frame. I know the Drawn Thread uses silk floss for her designs, however she uses the same colors - so the expense is about the same as using other hand-dyed flosses. And the silk seems to go further. Hope you like this model - I am working on the Welcome - Autumn will be posting in the future.

SHOP MODEL-WHO IS CHASING WHO
Since Diane Graebner retired, she has not stopped designing. This is one of her latest offerings - I finished this a few weeks ago, and it is now ready, and under our What's New section. Isn't it cute. Besides the dog chasing the cat, there is a cat following behind chasing the dog. Nothing hard, and really a nice Autumn offering, I did stitch on the recommended 18 Ct. Aida using DMC floss.

SHOP MODEL-LOVE STORY WEDDING
As many of you know, my best friend, Joyce and her husband Al, just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. I was lucky to attend the celebration in Michigan, and wanted to stitch something special - so I chose the pattern called "Love Story Wedding" from Imaginating because of the verse "A True Love Story Never Ends". However, I wanted to make it special - so here is my finished gift. I changed the heart colors to pink, used a different green, and added gold hearts. At the bottom I put their weddng day date in the center with the year they were married on one side, and their 50th date on the other side, and under added "Happy 50th Anniversary". I am attaching a photo so you all can see how a few changes can make a difference in a design. You can see the original pattern as released by Imaginating by using our keyword and IWM3114

SHOP MODEL-SAND DOLLAR BUTTON & BEAD KIT

With all our computer issues, I really did not stitch much this summer. So when I was looking for something new - I looked at the Mill Hill Button & Bead kits. Since not many designers do seashells, I decided that I would stitch a few. This is one I chose and framed in a pre-made white Mill Hill frame. It really turned out great

SHOP MODEL-CONCH BUTTON & BEAD KIT

This is another seashell that I chose to stitch - it is a Mill Hill Button & Bead kit. Nothing hard, and really turned out great. I used a pre-made white Mill Hill frame. These seashell kits from Mill Hill are very realistic - once on the wall, most people do not realise they are beaded.

SHOP MODEL-LIGHTHOUSE BY DAY
When I was looking for something to stitch this summer, I looked for patterns that were detailed, yet smaller than I usually stitch. I took notice to this Lighthouse by Heritage Crafts and decided it fit the bill. Nothing too big, yet not too small. I stitched it on 28 Ct. White Jobean, and framed in a black frame. Again, detailed, but nothing hard. It finished to a size around 5" x 7", and next year I will be stitching the mate - Lighthouse by Night. Hope you like my choices

SHOP MODEL-SAFE HAVEN
When I was looking for thing to stitch for Spring and Summer I usually do something more seasonal - so I decided to do some flower designs, and just fell in love with this little hedgehog. Nothing hard, I used 28 Ct. White Jobelan, and DMC - the frame is a custom green

SHOP MODEL-SWEET SPRING
When these patterns from Satsuma come into to stock, I loved that they were something different and very colorful. So since I was on a flower kick, I found this little bunny with flowers just what I was looking to do for a shop model. Again, nothing hard. I did use the 30 Ct. Seafoam Linen that was recommend and DMC floss - the frame is a custom blue with brushed edges

SHOP MODEL-SPRING DELIVERY
Ever since we pickup Madam Chantilly, I just love her style - so when I was searching for something Springy - this one was a good fit. I loved the combination of the little sheep, and flowers for spring. Again, nothing hard, and I used the recommended floss. The frame I used is pink with brush edges. Isn't it cute!

SHOP MODEL-FAST FOOD
From Madam Chantilly comes this fun pattern that when we received in our shop, I knew I was going to stitch as a model. Nothing hard, done in DMC floss, and I did use 32 Ct. Natural Belfast Linen. The frame is a custom green with a brushed edge. Isn't it cute!

SHOP MODEL-WELCOME SUMMER
When I stitched the Christmas Welcome from The Drawn Thread I took a look at the other Welcomes that they released. At that time, I liked the series, and decided to add them to my stitching projects. Summer was stitched on 30 Ct. Antique Lambswool from Wichelt usig TWO ply of the recommended silk floss. Again nothing hard, and I loved the finished result. The frame that I used is a custom cherry with red highlights

SHOP MODEL-WELCOME SPRING
As I stated before, I love the Welcome series from The Drawn Thread. When I started this offering, I used the recommended 1 ply of thread on 30 Ct. Antique Lambswool Linen. I can honestly say, I would have preferred the colors to look a little darker which would have been obtained if I used two ply of floss. So - the rest of the designs in this series I will use TWO ply rather then the recommended ONE ply. The result is very nice, with a pastel look. I did use the recommended silk which is used in other patterns in this series, and custom framed in my favorite green frame with a brushed edge. I will be stitching other in this series throughout the rest of this year.

SHOP MODEL-CUT FLOWERS BUTTON & BEAD KIT

Since Spring arrived I took stock of my picks and found this Button & Bead Kit from Mill HIll that I thought would make a great model. I loved the ball jars . Nothinghard and I used everything in the kit, except the bee button which I am still not sure if I will add. The frame is a premade from Mill Hill that had little painted cornflowers that matched the design - Hope you all like my choice

SHOP MODEL-FALL FUN
As I have stated many times before, Diana Graebner has retired, and we are now her exclusive distributor. Well she is still designing here and there. This is the latest pattern she sent to me, so I thought I would take the time to stitch as a new model. I used 18 Ct. Whtie Aida and DMC floss. Nothing hard, and I did mat and custom frame to bring out the colors of the leaves. Isn't it fun! Hope you all love it as much as I do.

SHOP MODEL-PEEPING
Since I cannot wait for Spring, I found this little pattern right before Easter that I thought would be a good addition to our models. Nothing hard, and I used the recommended DMC floss and 28 Ct. White Jobelan. The frame is a premed 5" x 5" green frame

SHOP MODEL-FEBRUARY
Since I started stitching the months in this series by the Cricket Collection, I was picking and choosing which months I liked. I did not stitch January or February, so I decided that I would this year. However, the fabric for January never arrived in time to stitch in January, and neither did the fabric for February. When the Rapsberry Light Jobelan arrived in February, I knew that was a sign that I needed to stitch this model. I did change the letter color to WDW - Louisiana Hot Sauce and needed 3 skeins - otherwise everything is what the designer recommended. I did add a few buttons since this was one month that did not have any embellishments. I think it turned out as expected - hope you all like my finished new model. The frame is a custom red brushed edge frame

SHOP MODEL - VALENTINE CANDY
This pattern from Imaginating was a left over from my Valentine stitching last year. I just ran out of time, so I added it to this year's models. I used 32 Ct. White Jobelan and DMC floss - nothing hard and the frame is an antique red custom

SHOP MODEL - LOVE IS HOT
When I was pulling this pattern for a mail order customer, I noticed that you not only received the cover design, but there were two other small offerings as well. The one I stitched was inside and supposed to be a heart shape. We had the Raw with Red Dots Belfast Linen in stock, and since the floss colors matched, I felt it would work. I did stitch the hearts, but you cannot see through the floss, so everything worked out well. The frame is a premade from Mill Hill. Isn't it cute! Nothing hard, and very fast stitching

SHOP MODEL - SPRING FROLIC
Since we are the distributor of Diane Graebner Designs, I stitch all of her new releases. This one was received in December and I love her little black cat designs. This one was easy, and worked up nicely. The colors represent Spring - I did custom frame using two mats and a black frame. Watch for more in the coming weeks. Since Diane retired, she keeps charting new items. I will be starting a new release within the next few weeks.

SHOP MODEL - MERRY MAKING - MINI FLORAL HEART
As I always state - I like to stitch designs pertaining to the holiday or time of year. When February arrived, I had not picked anything new to stitch for Valentine's Day. So I looked in my stash and found one design, and when this pattern arrived by Heart in Hand I thought it would fit right in. I stitched on 28 Ct. Amber Linen and used a premade 4x4 red frame that I had also in my stash using the recommended flosses. Nothing hard and very fast to finish

SHOP MODEL - MINI BLOCK FOOTBALL
Since our Philadelphia Eagles football team won the division and then entered the Super Bowl, I wanted to find something to stitch to honor this occasion. I had this pattern aside for some time, and just reconfigured the letters of Football to spell out the word "Eagles". I added the "Fly" as their fight song is "Fly Eagles Fly". The frame is an old one from Kay's Frames that I had her make years ago to fit the word Eagles. I used 28 Ct. White Jobelan, and used two colors of DMC floss to match the teams colors. I was stitching this as our Eagles won the Super Bowl. (DMC - 415, 3846, & 310)

SHOP MODEL - LET'S BE JOLLY
Usually I get excited when Winter arrives with the cold and snow. Unfortunately not this year due to the cold, and no snow. So rather than pick many new patterns relating to winter, I only chose a few. This is the last one in my bag that I stitched before February. I used 32 Ct. White Opalescent Belfast and used the recommended DMC floss. The frame is a brushed custom blue that matches the snowman

SHOP MODEL - LET'S BELIEVE
I stitched this model during the holidays, but my framer was closed so it sat until January when he reopened. I used 28 Ct. White Opalescent Lugana and DMC floss. The frame is a custom ornate gold. Nothing hard, and it looks lovely finished,

SHOP MODEL- CRYSTAL SNOWFLAKE KIT
It has been a while since I posted shop models due to waiting for frames. I stitched this model because we had the periwinkle blue frame in stock. It is a Mill Hill kit that includes everything but the frame. It was fun to stitch and a nice addition for our Winter display.

SHOP MODEL-HARES WINTER
Since I have stitched some of these bunnies from Plum Street Samplers and Madam Chantilly, I had this one in my stash from last year. It is from Plum Street Samplers. I loved that a bunny was skiing down a hill, and the Mom and her little girls were dressed warm - I chose a piece of Picture This Plus Crystal Helix 28 Ct. Linen to give it a Winter look, and I did use the recommended floss. The frame is a customer primitive blue. Isn't it cute - a great addition for Winter

SHOP MODEL-WONDERFUL TIME OF YEAR
If you love Christmas, then this is a good pattern to stitch from Country Cottage Needlework. After Christmas I was looking for something to stitch that I could get done fast, and this one jumped out at me. Nothing hard, works up quickly, and I framed in a custom white frame. I love the background which is 32 Ct. Natural w/White Dots - hope you like it too.

NOTE: I actually used the other half piece of the fabric from Merry Christmas, My Deer

SHOP MODEL-WELCOME CHRISTMAS
When this Welcome arrived in our shop from The Drawn Thread, I loved the stockings that are inside the letter "O". It is stitched over one thread, but you also are given a version that is over 2 threads or for the Aida stitcher. I did use the recommended silk floss, but changed the fabric to a raw linen with silver flecks that I had in my stash, and really like the end results. Little burgundy buttons are added to the holly that wraps around the star in the lettter "C". This frame that I chose is cherry color.

This is the first Christmas Welcome that I stitched, and since I like it so much, there may be more models in this series on the horizon.

SHOP MODEL-DECK THE HALLS
Since I stitched a shop model for Christmas from The Drawn Thread last year that had a verse, when this one arrived, I decided it would make another nice model. I did use the recommended one strand of silk, and stitched on 28 Ct. Natural with Silver specks. If I had to stitch over, I think I would have used two ply of floss to make it a little darker, but love the results anyway. Again, I used a custom cherry frame. The berries are stitched and you have a choice to stitch it over 1 thread or 2 for the branch - so it is a good design for anyone to stitch.

SHOP MODEL-THE PERFECT TREE GLOBE ZIPPER
As I have stated many times, I love stitching Bent Creek Zippers. They are a kit that includes everything but a needle, usually stitched on 18 Ct. Linen using pearl cotton - so they work up rather fast. When this arrived, I thought it was cute, and with many designers charting cars or trucks with trees, I felt this would make a wonderful Christmas shop model. I used a dark green custom frame

SHOP MODEL-BREAD SLEDS
Since we had no models these wonderful fast to stitch sled ornaments, I looked through the patterns we had in stock, and chose this little gingerbread house from Foxwood Crossing to use for a shop model. Nothing hard, it was stitched on 14 Ct. Brown Perforated Paper using DMC floss. All I did when finished was cut around the design, and glue on the sled ornament. Nothing hard - and these sleds look like they take more time than they really do. A great ornament gift and you can get one done in a night or two. Hope you like the pattern I picked.

SHOP MODEL-MERRY CHRISTMAS, MY DEER
When I was picking out items to stitch last year, I picked this pattern. However, I was working on the Churchyard Christmas from Praiseworthy Stitches, and when I finished, I was ready to move on to Winter designs, so I put this in my stash. Fast forward to this year's holiday stitching, and out it came. I loved stitching on the dotted fabric. Nothing was hard, and I custom framed in a brown frame. Isn't it cute!

SHOP MODEL-BETHLEHEM
When I think of Christmas, I think of the Nativity and the birth of Jesus. So when this design from Little House Needlework came in, I just knew that it would get stitched this year. I used 32 Ct. Silver/Raw Belfast Linen to give it the appearance of stars in the sky, and used all the recommended flosses. I custom framed in a blue frame with little markings

SHOP MODEL-MERRY CHRISTMAS
When this new offering from Country Stitches/With Thy Needle arrived, I just knew that it would end up being stitched and added to our Christmas model collection. I used 32 Ct. Opal/Raw Belfast linen, the recommended flosses, and loved how the finished piece looked. I used a green custom frame that matched the Ho Ho Ho.

SHOP MODEL-HOLIDAY MAIN STREET
As I have stated many times, I don't always pick new patterns when I look for something to stitch for new models. This design from Imaginating is from 2014. Most of the Imaginating designs are timeless, and this one fits that category. I just loved how the shops were decorated for Christmas. Most Imaginating designs are stitched on 14 Ct. White Aida using DMC floss - so I decided to do it a little different. I changed the fabric to 28 Ct. Opalescent Lugana. It gives the piece the appearance of snow. The frame I used is a cherry with a gold liner. This is by far one of my favorites and the first time my husband wanted me to take a model home. Everyone who has seen it finished loves it as well. Hope you all do too!

SHOP MODEL - LET IT SNOW
When Diana Graebner retired, I told her if she wanted to still design to send them along. Well this one was a real surprise, since it is just in time for Christmas and Winter.
I stitched the model on 18 Ct. Pearl Grey Aida and used the recommended DMC floss. Diana did say if you did not want to follow the chart for the snowflakes, you could put them wherever you want. I followed the chart. The frame was a pre-made that I had in stock and since it fit, I decided to use it. Isn't it adorable?

SHOP MODEL-HALLOWEEN SCARY CAT - WITCH KITTY
This shop model is from Amy Bruecken Designs and when this series of Halloween Scary Cats were introduced in September at the Harvest Hop Market I just knew they would become shop models. This is the last in the series that I stitched. I used the recommended fabric, Kermit, from Picture This Plus and stitched on 32 Ct. using DMC floss - isn't she cute!

SHOP MODEL - HALLOWEEN HAPPINESS
I don't always stitch designs that are new for shop models. When I was looking for something to finish my Halloween stitching, I came across this fun design from Imaginating that was released a few years ago. Nothing hard, uses DMC floss, and I chose 32 Ct. Antique Copper Linen from Wichelt which has little red markings. You can also use any brown fabric. The witch on the pattern is holding a pumpkin, so I found this little jack-o-lantern button from JAB and used it instead

SHOP MODEL-HALLOWEEN SCARY CAT - BOO KITTY
This is the second in a series of three Halloween Scary cats from Amy Bruecken Designs. I just loved how this looks - I used the recommended fabric color - Kermit, only in 32 Ct. Linen, and DMC floss. The frame is a premed 4" x 5" black. Nothing special, but really cute and fun to stitch

SHOP MODEL-HALLOWEEN SCARY CAT - BLACK KITTY
When I ordered this series of Halloween Scary Cats from Amy Bracken during the Harvest Shop Hop in September, I just loved that they were small, yet looked very colorful for Halloween. So when they arrived, I just knew I would stitch them for shop models. I had a piece of Kermit Linen from Picture This Plus in 32 Ct in stock, so I knew it was meant to be. The designs are coded for DMC floss and I used premade 4" x 5" black frames

SHOP MODEL - BEWITCHING PIXIES - RAVEN
For the past few years I have stitched a witch for a new Halloween model. I started with Electra who was wearing an orange dress, then Minerva who was in teal, so this year I chose Raven who is wearing periwinkle blue and purple. There is a quarter moon in the sky as well as an array of bats. She was stitched on the recommended 32 Ct. Milk Chocolate Linen using DMC and beads. I picked a black custom frame.

SHOP MODEL - SPARROW KIT
I usually do not choose kits to stitch mainly because of the fabrics used. I prefer linens or even weaves, and most times only stitch on aida fabric when I stitch Amish designs. So when I saw this little kit offered from Riolis, I through it was a nice design for a model, and did not want to change a thing. I used everything that was included in the kit including the rustic aida, and if you look closely, you will see that the stitches are only half cross stitches. Nothing hard, can be completed in a few days. I used a premade brown 5" x 5" frame. Isn't he cute!
