THIS SECTION IS DEVOTED TO OUR RECENT STITCHED SHOP MODELS

We add approximately 4 to 6 new models every other month to our ever growing collection. These are the current New Shop Models that we have added in our shop.  We do not always stitch designs which are new, just whatever strikes our fancy.  Because a pattern is old doesn't make it any less attractive.  If the pattern is still available, after stitching, we then feature it as a New Shop Model on our walls.

If you like the way our shop models look, we now have added a feature that you can purchase the pattern or kit packaged by the manufacturer. You are ONLY purchasing the materials to make the design, not our finished model. These models are in this section for approx. 6 months than move to our Shop Model Tab listed under Book & Charts so you can still continued to view until the patterns or kits are not longer available.

Hope you like our selections!

SHOP MODEL - GARDEN GATE
This pattern from the Drawn Thread was fun to stitch. I picked 32 Ct. Water Lily fabric since the recommended fabric was discontinued and used silk floss. The flowers are fun to stitch, a few specialty stitches are used, so gives a break from always doing x's. The frame was a brushed edge green custom frame

SHOP MODEL - EASTER BUNNY CARD
When I was looking for Easter stitching, not knowing when our shop would ever re-open, I decided to look for something small. This is a card kit from Bothy Threads that comes with everything including a card and envelops, which I did not use, as I framed the finished piece. The frame is a brushed edge purple frame. Again - all the Bothy Thread kits are unique as everything is separated and easy to stitch

SHOP MODEL - JANUARY
I just love the monthly series by The Cricket Collection and decided that I would fit in the months that I have not stitched. This model was stithed in February of 2020, done on 28 Ct. Coneflower Blue Jobelan, and did change the letter color to DMC 930, 931, and 932 by subbing color for color (meaning light to dark) that are listed for the lettering colors on the chart. Oher than that - everything was stitched as charted and I did add JAB buttons. The frame is a custom white

SHOP MODEL -SLEDDING ALL THE WAY GLOBE ZIP
For some reason I just was not in the mood to stitch winter designs this year. Maybe it was because we did not have any snow, so it did not feel like our usual winter. However, when I saw this cute snowglobe kit from Bent Creek, I knew I had to stitch it as a model. Nothing hard, comes with all flosses and 18 Ct. Linen, when stitched over 2 is a 9 Count, so usually anybody can stitch. I did use a Navy brushed edge custom frame. Hope you all like this model

SHOP MODEL - VALENTINE ROW
For some reason since I was not in the mood for Winter, however I fell in love with Valentine's - I stitched this row on 28 Ct. Raspberry Jobelan and added small and medium JAB buttons in red and white to add a little something different. Again, nothing hard, and I did use the recommended floss. The frame is a brushed edge red frame

SHOP MODEL - ROMANCE
Also from Bent Creek comes this row for Valentine's that I stitched on 28 Ct. Honeysuckle Pink that was in my stash. Any light pink will work as a good sub, and I used the recommended floss. I framed in a custom cherry frame

SHOP MODEL - POT OF LOVE KIT
As many of you know, I usually do not stitch many kits. I like to pick my own fabric and cannot see replacing fabric that is in a kit. However, I had this kit in my stash for YEARS. At least 10 years or more, kept putting in the back of the pile, and since I was in a Valentine mood, this piece fit right in. I just loved the heart flowers, and the fabric included was 27 Ct. Evenweave, but is also available in 14 Ct. Aida. I framed in a custom dark red frame

SHOP MODEL - ROBIN WREATH KIT
This was the last items I stitch with a Christmas theme. When this kit from Bothy Threads arrived in the shop, I knew I would add this to my pile. Since I was hooked on Winter Robin patterns, it fit right in. Bothy kits always include aida, and I had enough floss, which I know is a concern for many. In fact, I have never ran out of floss on any kit I have stitched. Nothing was hard, and I thought the robin was cute. I custom framed in a dark red brushed edge frame]

This is the third Bothy Threads kit I have stitched, and it will not be my last

SHOP MODEL - Snowbound
As you can tell from the price, I pick what I like. This little snow scene from Bent Creek was stitched on 27 Ct. Dirty Cash Linen and fit a 4"x4" frame. Just a little item for Winter that I stitched before I got in the Valentine spirit. Nothing hard, and very fast to stitch. Can also be stitched on 14 Ct. Aida.

SHOP MODEL - SEASON OF GIVING BUTTON & BEAD KIT
For some season I have become hooked on the Mill Hill Button & Bead Kits. They are not hard to stitch, includes all buttons, beads, floss, paper, and needles - so all you need to do is stitch and them frame. Mill Hill even has a collection of pre-made frames that fits their kits. This one kept calling my name. I stitched an Old Fashioned Santa kit, and thought, why not a present. Just loved the colors, had more cross stitch than beads, and I framed in a Mill Hill pre-made green frame. Just loved the results- hope you do too

Since this year I had no idea what I wanted to stitch for Christmas, I decided some of the robins from Heritage Crafts and Bothy Threads would be a great addition. I stitched this model from Heritage Crafts on 28 Ct. Opal Lugana using DMC floss. The frame is a custom green. Nothing hard, and I really enjoyed stitching this project.

When I decided we needed new Button & Bead models, I looked through all that Mill Hill kits offered. I did not care if it was new or old, just wanted something different. Nothing hard, included all supplies, and I used a pre-made Mill Hill that was shown on the package. Isn't he cute.

SHOP MODEL - CHALK FULL: MERRY
Since I stitched the Sunflower Farm from Hands on Design on Chalkboard Linen, I loved the results and thought, maybe I would stitch another. Rather than a farm, I decided on a pattern from the Chalk Full series by Hands on Design, and the Santa's called out to me. Nothing hard, I used 32 Ct. Chalkboard Linen and the recommended flosses. The frame is a custom antique white. Since I have a 1/2 piece of fabric left, I might do another Chalk Full model in the future.

SHOP MODEL - GOBBLE
This pattern from Bent Creek is an older but goodie. I loved this series of samplers from Bent Creek, and never realized that I had not stitched this one. So - when I was looking for Thanksgiving patterns for models, I decided now was the time. I used 32 Ct. Lambswool Linen using the recommended flosses, and custom framed in an antique brown frame. SHOP MODEL - JACK FROST'S TREE FARM

As I have stated many times I love stitching patterns in a row. They fit nicely on the wall over doors. When the Jack Frost's Tree Farm was introduced I love the first part, and wondered how I could make it my own. When I saw the car with the tree on the roof and then the truck with a tree, that gave me an idea and this is the result showing people who cut down trees and were leaving the tree farm. Hope you like my choice - used the recommended 30 Ct. Portabello Linen and flosses - the frame is a custom cherry color

SHOP MODEL - CHALK FOR THE HOME - SUNFLOWERS
Everyone loved the Chalkboard series by Hands on Design, yet we did not have a model in our shop. When we received this series of patterns from Shannon Christine Designs I just loved the bright autumn colors. This a combination of three patterns - Pumpkin Patch, Pumpkin House, and Pumpkin Truck. SHOP MODEL - FLORAL BOUQUET KIT
This model was given to me by Iona, one of my employees. Once she finished the kit, she decided it would not fit her decor, so she gave it to me for a shop model. It is a kit from the Blooms & Blossoms Kits series by Debbie Mumm - everything is included. I framed in a custom purple frame which pulled all the colors together.

SHOP MODEL- LET'S BREEZE INTO AUTUMN
I just love the Let's series by Imaginating, and since I did all the seasonal snow globes in the series except autumn, I just had to add it to our models. Again, nothing is hard, I used 32 Ct. White Jobelan which made the floss colors jump out. The frame is custom brown

SHOP MODEL-SUNFLOWER FARM
This pattern from Cuore e Batticuore was the first pattern that I stitched when I was looking this year for sunflowers. Believe me, we have a great variety to choose from, but I wanted something that was a little big, yet not hard, and that used DMC floss. Also, I wanted to stitch something by each foreign designer so I could let everyone that their charts are clear, and easy to stitch. I used 28 Ct. Summer Khaki Cashel Linen - again nothing was hard. The colors really jump. I used a White custom frame to bring out the white in the design. Hope everyone likes this grouping of models

SHOP MODEL - BALL OF KITTY CATS ZIPPER
As many of you know, my daughter lives over an hour away from my home, and I get bored during the drive, so I usually stitch while my husband drives. This was a car project that I picked - all the Zipper kits are easy to see and stitch while in the car. Since we have a cat display, this new modl will be added to the mix. The kit included 18 Ct. Linen and pearl cotton - so nothing was hard and the X's were large. The frame is a custome blue to match the circle of yarn

When this pattern arrived in our shop, I just knew eventually that I would make it into a shop model. For some reason, I just love the Imaginating patterns, and this was no different. The lighthouse in the center with a rope around was just what we needed for something different. Again, my fabric of choice is 28 Ct. White Jobelan, it was coded for DMC floss, and I custom framed.

SHOP MODEL - FISH N'CHIPS
I know we all have a stash, and this design was in my stash for a while. So when I was looking for summer and naturical things to stitch this year, I decided now was the time. SHOP MODEL - THE MEADOW KIT
Since last year when I purchased directly from Bothy Threads, I had a few on my stitch list. Again, when Spring arrived, I felt this little bunny would be a good addition to our shop models. I can say the kit had clear directions, a large chart marked with centering marks, the fabric was folded to make finding the center easy, and the floss was pre-sorted. What more can you ask. I just loved the markings on the aida fabric giving the design character. Since I usually stitch on evenweaves or linen, this was a nice change. Nothing hard and the bunny is very realistic. I custom framed in a green frame.

SHOP MODEL - THE WINTER GARDEN
If you have looked at our shiop model section for the past year, you will notice that I stitched a Welcome series from The Drawn Thead. So when I was looking for some Winter designs to stitch, I came upon this Winter Garden also from The Drawn Thread that is filled with lovely flowers, done in silk floss, and featuring a few different stitches. I loved the end result, and framed in a custom cherry frame. I will be stitching the other three seasons in this series throughout this year and will post as they are completed. Eash is nicer than the next. Sometimes it is fun to step out of the box and do something different - not just making x's. Great directions and diagrams are provided by the designer.

If you like The Drawn Thread patterns - remember she uses the same colors of silk for many patterns, so the floss goes a long way.
