For the last three years, I have been stitching a haunted house during the fall - this year I choose this design from Praiseworthy Stitches and instead of using the blue recommended fabric, I chose Lugana Lavender Swirl as the house is a deep purple and for the life of me, could not see a haunted house with a blue sky.
The lavender really brought out the colors. I did accented with the recommended buttons, stitched as charted, and I custom frame with a off black, gold and deep green frame which brought out the green in the windows. It was really fun, and now I'm trying to choose another haunted house from Praiseworthy Stitches to stitch next year - they have 3 more and each is very different. You will see my pick next year at this time.
